Jeremy Matheis
Jeremy D. Matheis is a Seattle-area conductor, vocalist, and vocal coach, and has served as Artistic Director of Choir of the Sound since 2011. Jeremy studied music at Trinity Christian College (B.A. in Music) and pursued further study in voice pedagogy and conducting, including graduate work at the University of Washington. Jeremy joined Saint Mark’s Cathedral’s Compline Choir in 2006 and later became Associate Director, bringing insights from the Compline tradition—line, resonance, and deep ensemble listening—into rehearsal craft across repertoire. Jeremy’s work focuses on practical, singer-friendly techniques that improve blend, tuning, and text clarity while building an ensemble culture of accountability and encouragement.
